Numbers and mathematical concepts were not exactly "invented" by humans, but rather "discovered", or abstracted, from observing the world around them.1
In Latin, “Omnia in numeris sita sunt” means “Everything lies veiled in numbers.” Helena Blavatsky said, most appropriately, “number underlies form, and number guides sound. It lies at the root of the manifested Universe.”
Galileo put it more simply when he said,
"The laws of nature are written in the language of mathematics...the symbols are triangles, circles and other geometrical figures, without whose help it is impossible to comprehend a single word."Letters, sounds, light, musical notes, words, colors, energy, and even the galaxies can be reduced to numbers or explained by recurring equations.
Numerology is the key to discovering those unique patterns, traits, strengths and goals we each possess. Once we have learned these individual secrets, we are further empowered to comprehend and balance our personal lives, relationships, and even the world around us.
You can use the tools of Numerology and tested formulas right now to unlock your own personal mysteries in this interactive, FREE Numerology Video Report! (I've used this system myself and find it to be completely amazing!)
The most familiar, and most important, calculation in Numerology is called the Life Path Number. It is found by adding up the sum of all the numbers in your birth date and reducing them to a single digit. For example, January 15, 1951 would be 1+1+5+1+9+5+1 = 23 and then 2+3 = 5. Five is the Life Path number for this birth date. There are many more numeric paths to explore, such as the Soul Urge Number and Expression Number, by using the numerical formulas from the letters of our names, and so forth. Each number has its' own attributes, vibrations and meanings.
The following YouTube video, The Great Math Mystery, is a bit lengthy, but explains the concepts of energy, sound and vibration in relation to mathematics - from the smallest particle to the whole of the universe.
As you can see, everything is intertwined (see Sacred Geometry) with the Flower of Life on levels and depths many of us barely comprehend, and it all comes down to mathematics.
The study of Numerology is vast and difficult (for me) to explain. It can also be a bit confusing, so I will split this post into two or more segments. View Part Two HERE. And finally, Part Three is HERE.
Meanwhile, here is something to ponder: Since each of us, and the earth itself, is comprised mostly of water, the vibrational (numerological) effects of our emotions, energy and even our thoughts could very well be utilized to heal not only ourselves, but our world as well! This, in essence, is the basis for what many of us Pagans and Witches practice and call "magic". In the Christian world, the same principles are applied and termed, "prayer". We are all simply seeking the same goals: balance, unity, understanding and healing.
