Silent Sunday ~ January 31, 2016

I've been working very hard lately to re-organize and update Pagan by Design to make it more streamlined and user-friendly!  This includes a lot of updating "behind the scenes" also.  In the process, I thought of a fun, interactive new concept that YOU can participate in, and since I needed a break...I'm going to present it right now!   I know I've truly enjoyed participating in similar things myself, so hopefully it will be a "hit"!  I'm placing it under the new category, "Training and Practice", and calling it "Silent Sunday".  Of course, this introductory post isn't exactly silent but I figured it would be easier for you if I explain rather than expecting you to read my mind!

So, here it is:  Every Sunday, I will present something for you to take part in and share the results in the comments either here, on our Facebook page, or even on your own blog!  Of course, you can always follow along and choose to keep some, or all, results private.  The "assignment" might be a journaling prompt to get you thinking or researching your chosen path - in order to help you build your personal Grimoire; it may be an image or photograph for you to focus on and draw intuitive conclusions from; a creative or artistic project; or perhaps even an energy-manipulation exercise to work on and practice at home.

Today's post revolves around one simple photo.  Let your intuition and first impressions guide you.  Practice is the key to success to Psychic abilities.  Here are some questions to help you get the energy flowing:

  • What do you feel, hear, smell, taste?  Did animals live there?
  • Do you see or sense spirits in the image?  Who is there?
  • Can you mentally place yourself in the photo?  How does it "feel" to be there?
  • What kind of trees are in the back yard?  How does the interior look?
  • Are you getting a sense of a particular date, year, address, name?
  • What happened there, if anything?  Is something "going to" happen there?

The images presented might be random photos from various locations where nothing paranormal has been publicly reported (though that doesn't necessarily mean nothing "happened"), so if you "get nothing", then maybe there is "nothing to get"!  With much practice, anyone can develop Psychic awareness and I don't want you to feel embarrassed if you can't sense something, or if you struggle in getting an inaccurate impression.  Try not to "make something up" - just relax and see what comes to mind.  Oh, and finally, please give it an honest try and don't cheat by searching online.  Some of the things I will be presenting , like this one, are not publicized on the Internet anyway.  ;)

On Sunday, February 14, 2016,  I will publicize the known data related to this image in a new post for the next Silent Sunday activity!  I will place answers close to the bottom of the page so that hopefully, a few years from now, others who stumble on these posts will still be able to play along without accidentally running into the answers before they get a chance to try.  Meanwhile, I will try and reply to your comments about it here and on Facebook without giving too many "clues".  Have fun!
Please let me know if you have any difficulty using the Comments section of posts on this blog.  I want the experience to be as easy and painless as possible.  Are there too many steps to be able to comment on a post?  Anything else I should know?  If so, please email here: designing.life.net AT gmail.com

We've already had a few participants on our Facebook Page (link in post) tune in to see what they perceive from this exercise. They're already getting some great information! Will you give it a try? There aren't any "wrong" answers when developing Psychic gifts...some are just closer to the facts.

Please let me know if you're having difficulty using the Comment system I have in place - are there too many steps in order to reply? Any insight will help me improve the experience for my viewers. (let me know by email if you wish).

Enjoy! :)

Hey Polly! This is cool! Thanks for keeping your blog going! I love it!
I am no psychic, but this is what I felt when looking at the picture.
I see a dog. I get older people, but I feel children are around too. I feel happy, but there could have been a funeral. Maple trees in the backyard and the date is somewhere between the 1950's-1960's. Blessings!
By the way, your comment system is great!

Well, Stacy, your Psychic skills may be a lot better than you think! You're extremely close to about 6 out of 6 things you said! If there was a funeral, can you dig deeper to determine the cause of a death? I hope you'll come back for the reveal. For now, I can say yes...Maples in the back yard ;)

Really??? I have to admit, many things come to me, when I meditate and many of my visions have came true. But, I have never looked at a picture or read cards for anyone. I have to think about it some more, a few things have came to my head. Cancer, or car accident. I keep hearing the word accident?

Will the reveal be on here?

Oh sorry Stacy I just saw your message - not getting my notifications of new messages very well lately (hmm?). No, the reveal is visible in a new post here: http://www.paganbydesign.com/2016/02/silent-sunday-february-14-2016.html

Also, I've had a few people tell me that two weeks in between posts seems a bit too long, and I agree since I can't remember what I read two DAYS ago, lol, so I'm going to adjust this a bit and post weekly rather than bi-weekly on Sundays. :)

Also, you said, "I see a dog. I get older people, but I feel children are around too. I feel happy, but there could have been a funeral. Maple trees in the backyard and the date is somewhere between the 1950's-1960's". First, there were dogs there (Irish Setters to be sure), there were LOTS of children there (seven in my family and I think 3 in the family that bought the house from my Mom). I have happy memories there (maybe that is where the happiness comes from) and you're very close on date...my family owned it in the 60's and sold it around '72 I think. A funeral would have taken place for sure as you'll see if you're able to read the reveal post.

Thank you for stopping by!
