Manifesting Greatness ~ A Potpourri of Ideas

The power of positive thinking is often grossly understated, but the effects, when we practice daily, are phenomenal!  I personally believe that if enough people on Earth focused regularly on manifesting healing and positive thoughts and actions, then the Earth itself would begin to heal, right along with the individuals seeking balance for themselves! Apparently, the folks at The Master Shift, non-profit global healing center, happen to think so, too!

Around the Internet, especially during political changes and election years, we see some of the lowest, most primal and un-evolved, hateful responses.  Often, within groups dedicated to earth-based paths, there is also an underlying tension and race for "one upmanship".  I see my friends share their frustrations at dealing with self-appointed "experts" in nearly every path or group - you know the ones, degrading and "correcting" the ideas of others and insisting that they have it all wrong.  It is apparent in nearly every group, from rock collectors to thrifty homemakers, but I think it bothers us more to see it so prevalent in the Pagan paths because it is so contrary to the very basis of what we "claim to seek" and "profess to be doing".

We all just want to be able to connect, share our passions and ideas, find inspiration and advice as we learn and grow.  There are many ways to be diplomatic and supportive while sharing wisdom with one another.  Let's aim for that instead of painting a really ugly portrait of our practices to outsiders who are already skeptical.  Why give them evidence of their negative perceptions?  We're not just a bunch of crazy people who are nasty with one another and also degrading to anyone who isn't a pagan...or the right kind of pagan...so let's act accordingly!

The Wolf Moon has been a sight to behold these past few nights!  No matter which religion, political view or status level we're coming from, we are all gazing at the same magnificent Moon.  We're all mere specks co-existing on the same abundant planet.  As my Mother used to say, sometimes we need to be "taken down a few notches", get off of our pedestals and relate from the humble, equal perspective where we actually exist.  The next time you find yourself witnessing, or caught up in a "I'm a Master of All Things Occult and You're Not, Witchcraft War or Pagan Pounding", simply ignore, move along, don't engage, and continue inviting only positive, healing vibrations while projecting the same.

That being said, my focus for this year is all about balance, clarity, organization, charity, healing and manifesting positivity and prosperity.  Being kind to others, casting off negativity and turning self-defeating messages into positive affirmations has a huge impact on the abundance that flows into my life!

You can manifest positive energy, abundance and healing for yourself and your surroundings in many ways, but they all begin with you.  You might incorporate some or all of the following ideas:
  • Focus on positive events, gratitude and kind gestures.  These might even include kind things you have done for others.  At the Touch of the Goddess Healing, Aromatherapy and Gift Shop, you can request a custom-made Gratitude Jar with any theme you like, or choose from those already beautifully crafted.  The link above is for the Etsy store, and there are several examples of custom jars here at the Touch of the Goddess Facebook page.  (As a companion to Sharon's special creations, I also found an inspirational post for ways to utilize your jar, here:  How to start a Gratitude Jar).
  • Utilize, and even create your own, positive affirmations delivered subliminally through meditative sound or vibration.  Scientific evidence proves that the power of suggestion through subliminal messaging is highly effective.  MindZoom is a very affordable option.  Even if you only use it while you're browsing the web or reading online (like now), that adds up to a lot of hours of positive programming!
  • Qigong (pronounced "chee gung") isn't "new", but many of us in the west are hearing about it a lot lately.  Excerpt from www.qigonghealing.com:  " It is the art and science of using breathing techniques, gentle movement and meditation to cleanse, strengthen and circulate life energy (qi).  Qigong practice leads to better health and vitality and a tranquil state of mind.".  Although I haven't yet analyzed them to make a recommendation, there are some free YouTube instruction videos for Qigong.
  • Reclaim your life and make time to engage your creative flow.  Whether it is painting, crafting, sewing, gardening, writing, teaching, photography or caring for others, allow yourself time to be immersed in the things you truly enjoy.  One of the resources I like to suggest comes in the form of a book (much like a workshop) offered by Julia Cameron.  It is called The Artist's Way and works great when done alone or within a group setting.  Perhaps you will begin a supportive group just to work through these exercises along with others!
  • Practice journaling throughout the year.  As you do, be on the lookout for negative patterns and self-defeating statements.  Are you projecting yourself as a victim without realizing it?  (That happens to be one of my nasty habits even though I often place myself in that mode when attempting humor).  On my sidebar, you'll notice a tab called, "Pagan Activities 2016".  There are opportunities to engage in using prompts to help keep your creativity flowing.  As I run across more, I will add them to the list.
